Another impressive milestone for Isuzu’s award winning 3.5 tonne Grafter range
The Isuzu Grafter 3.5 tonne rigid truck range has won the 2021 ‘Best Builders’ Truck’ award for a record breaking ninth year in succession. The multi-award winning trophy for Isuzu Truck, presented by leading UK business van magazine ‘Trade Van Driver’, is unprecedented in the history of this publication’s awards programme.
According to this year’s judging panel, “Builders’ trucks take an enormous amount of punishment in their lives, so anyone buying into this sector needs to know that the vehicle they choose is tough enough for the job. Once again, the judges felt that the Isuzu Grafter ticked all the boxes here. The Grafter is a truck which will go on for years without a murmur, even in the toughest of climates.”
On receiving the TVD award, Pete Murphy, managing director at Isuzu Truck UK, said, “The Grafter range has played an integral role in our success over the last 12 months. In a market sector down by 14.7%, Isuzu grew by 17.2%, one of only a small number of manufacturers to show organic growth. Not only that, during the recent global pandemic, the ITUK truck dealer network remained open for business, throughout the lockdown period, to ensure an unbroken reliable aftersales support service for our customers.”
Trade Van Driver, a specialist trade van magazine for small business users, organises this annual awards programme and the entries are judged not only by the expert panel of journalists at the magazine but also by a panel of readers who regularly use light commercial vehicles as part of their businesses.
The 2021 Trade Van Driver Awards aim to give recognition to the manufacturers, organisations and people who, in the opinion of the judges, offer the very best to retail buyers.
“Now in its ninth year, the TVD Awards have, once again, highlighted the leading products aimed at the lighter end of the commercial vehicle market. We are absolutely delighted that our Grafter has maintained its 100% success rate over all nine years of these awards, and this reflects the natural fit of the Grafter in the tough working environments experienced within the building, landscaping, construction and arboricultural industries,” commented Pete Murphy.
