Isuzu’s Nikki King recognised with Spirit of everywoman Award
At yesterday’s National FTA everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards, Isuzu Truck’s managing director Nikki King OBE became the first recipient of the Spirit of everywoman Award in recognition of the significant contribution that she has made to the commercial vehicle industry over the past 25 years.
Palmer and Harvey go ‘on the road’ with 50 new Isuzu trucks
When Palmer and Harvey rolled out its new nationwide van sales food service operation last month under the ‘P&H Direct’ banner, the vehicle fleet used for this service is based on 50 Isuzu Forward N75.150 7.5t rigid vehicles. The trucks were specifically purchased for this brand new initiative and all specified with purpose-designed Paneltex bodywork.
A surprised Nikki King wins lifetime achievement award at CV Show
At this year’s CV Show at the NEC Birmingham, Trade Van Driver, the UK’s top van magazine for small business users, presented a ‘surprised’ Nikki King with a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’.
Initially, Nikki was led to believe that she was just observing the presentation of another award that was being given to Isuzu Motors Europe’s Chairman, Masayuki Murata, for Isuzu’s 3.5t Grafter truck. However, Trade Van Driver’s editor, Matthew Eisenegger sprung a pleasant surprise on Nikki by telling her that the 2013 Awards Panel also wished to recognise her own career achievements in the commercial vehicle industry with a separate award.
